Chrysler, Jr. 78.108 Salvers were used for a variety of purposes, from serving a beverage in a goblet or glass to presenting a letter, newspaper, or calling card. They were useful objects and came in a number of shapes and sizes with simple or elaborate decoration that often resembled the table tops upon which they were placed.
