DescriptionHeavy gilt silver soup spoon decorated with champleve enamels. The lantern-like handle finial has stripes of green, yellow, white and turquoise enamel, below which are two rings of sapphire blue enamel above a round handle decorated, two thirds the way up from the bowl, with winding foliage on white ground (leaves are turquoise, yellow, green, sapphire blue and white with red). Back of fig-shaped bowl has enamel decoration in same colors and shows head with crown and wings among foliation and scrolls. The ground is white.19th century
