DescriptionLarge shallow plate has bai lu (hundred deer) design in overglaze enamels. The deer cavort amid large gnarled pine trees growing from swelling turquoise rocks. A stream cascades from a high center rock; more rock forms rise like ifngers toward the horizon. One iron red peak included. Deer are brown, grey and white, all spotted, with some plain red brown ones. Peach brances are visible to the right on which rose enamel is used as well as on some flowers. A series of white and turquoise dots cluster around the tree trunks. Rim gilded; exterior has three areas of floral decoration, flowers all different, done in famille rose. A three-pronged metal bracket is attached for hanging. Body surface wavy, somewhat coarse, bottom pitted, foot rounded, some sand adherence. Gilt rubbed; one hairline crack extending 6.5 cm from rim.Unknown
