DescriptionBronze 'Gu'. Tall goblet with wide trumpet mouth tapering to narrow midsection where 3.8cm wide band of 'Lei wen' and 'dao-tie' patterns is bordered by two raised lines on each side. Narrow flange runs down center of 'dao-tie' mask. Base flares to foot with overall 'lei wen' pattern & four bird heads incorporated. Foot hollow & heavily encrusted at edge. Smooth, light green patination with pastry-looking dark green patches around central section & interior below mouth.
