DescriptionThis is a Worcester Chinoiserie Gu-form Beaker Vase. It has a central knop and a flaring rim and foot, and painted on the front and reverse with a 'Long Eliza,' one wearing a blue, puce and yellow costume, holding an iron-red ornament and a fan and standing before an iron-red garden fence, the other wearing a blue, purple and yellow costume, holding a plant and standing before a portion of a moon window with a puce drapery, and each within a panel edged in iron-red leaves, black-delineated stylized foliage and gilt sprigs, and reserved on a ground of gilt scrolls further reserved on either side with a panel centering a puce floral sprig.
