DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. Photograph of the Elmira Cornet Band lounging in a field under the shade of trees. Several of the men are wearing hats and playing cards, smoking pipes, and reading. Most of the brass instruments are on the left side of the photo along with the large drum one man is resting upon. This is from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 190).
