DescriptionThis is an Early Worcester Chinoiserie Coffee Cup. Painted possibly outside of the factory in a famille-rose palette with a Chinese boy wearing a turquoise jacket and puce trousers and running with his arms outstretched toward a long-necked exotic bird perched on an iron-red zigzag fence beneath flocks of tiny birds, the reverse with a willow tree growing from precipitious blue rocks beside the grooved loop handle.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
