On the front there is a "vase"-shaped cartouche beneath a pair of triangular panels. On the back, are two "vase"-shaped cartouches flanking the loop handle, two triangular panels, and a rectangular panel painted with a puce foliate sprig, all edged in gilt rococo scrollwork. The two large cartouches are colorfully painted with an exotic bird amidst shrubbery and the others are painted with insects. The cover is similarly decorated with one "vase"-shaped and two "mirror"-shaped cartouches around the rose, yellow, and green floral sprig knop. There is a script W mark in underglaze blue.
