DescriptionThis is a coffee cup from a Worcester Teacup, Coffee Cup and Saucer set. Each piece is painted possibly at a later date in the manner of the 'Spotted Fruit Painter' with clusters of colorful fruit and foliage and with flitting insects, the rim with a wide and irregularly shaped apple-green border edged in rococo gilt scrollwork, and the cups with a simple loop handle. The teacup and saucer have crossed swords and numeral 9. marks in under glaze-blue.
