DescriptionThis is an American Mission-Style Arts and Crafts era frame made of quarter sawn oak and created around 1900. It features a wide flat surface, slightly rough in texture to accentuate the wood grain, with a thin inner gold lining strip. The sight edge was 13 7/8 x 18 inches. The width of the molding was 3 1/8 inches, and the depth was 7/8 inches. It was resized to fit ceramic plaque 71.2841.ProvenancePurchased from The Source Antiques, Westbrook, CT, via eBay auction, by Chrysler Museum of Art, April 2016.
