DescriptionThis tall colorless goblet is composed of a bowl with four detailed scenes engraved in cartouches, each labeled with its location in Hamburg, Germany. The stem features elaborate cutting and the foot has a row of small engraved dots, a band of solid etched glass, and a row of engraved swags that frame its circumference. Its large size indicates it was a commemorative rather than functional goblet.
