DescriptionThis is a goblet of colorless blown glass that is decorated with polychrome enamel and gilding. The conical goblet has no true stem, tapering to meet an applied glass foot (3 3/8 in. diam.). The exterior of the bowl and foot are decorated with hand-painted (possibly stenciled) decoration of animals (dolphins, lions, and eagles) and stylized plants in six enamel colors, including burgundy, yellow, dark green, light blue, dark blue, and white. A band of gilding and enamel dotted decoration runs just below the rim, and the gilding is worn.
