DescriptionBronze reticulated candlestick and shade. Attached to the octagonal bases are four sectioned stems. A framework consisting of four rows of diamond-shaped openings is screwed into each stem. Opaque jade-green glass was blown into the framework. A metal cup is in each holder. Similar to the piece in Koch, G-B-L, p. 104, Fig. 145 second from the right. A Favrile shade is held in place by three set screws in each cup. The shade is of pattern-molded reactive amber glass that is opalescent white on the top half. The shade has a ribbed surface, a dimpled upper half and a green "pulled feather" decoration. The exterior has a gold and silver iridescence and the interior has a heavy gold-orange iridescence. Similar to the piece in Koch, G-B-L, p. 104, Fig. 145 second from right.
