DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a military officer in a blue uniform with grey banding. The man has dark hair and a moustache. The uniform is hung with seven medals pinned to his coat and one on a ribbon around his neck. His right hand is tucked into the coat. The grey or silver banding is decorated with a repetitive design which could be fleur-de-lis or a Prussian style eagle. Black wood with gilt metal liner around opening.
