DescriptionThis bulbous covered milk jug has a slender neck, an applied spout, and a cover with a cast applied finial in the form of a Greek or Roman military helmet resting on a round beaded base. The jug has an applied strap handle and two insulators. The handle is decorated with beading and a female head and terminates in a palm leaf where it joins the lower body. The pot is raised on a stepped foot ring, and the initial C is engraved on the side.
