DescriptionWine goblet of clear glass. Ovoid bowl with a drawn facet cut stem and an attached conical foot. Decorated with faint diamond point stippled engraving of a scene symbolizing brotherhood. Of two boys in a landscape, the one on the right extending a filled goblet to the other with a wine jug in the other hand. Above this is a banner with the inscription: "DAT NOID VERSLAP ONS BROEDERSCHAP" (That our brotherhood may never die). The hair is made with lines and not stippled. English Newcastle type goblet with Dutch D. Wolff style engraving. Rough pontil.
