DescriptionThis is an assembled set of seven Worcester fluted plates. Each plate is painted in the center with a cluster of iron-red hops and green leaves within a turquoise cailloute roundel edged in gilt C-scrolls and surrounded by six rose and gold trellises alternating with swags of hops suspended from a gros bleu border edged in gilt scrolls and trelliswork panels around the gilt dentil-edged scalloped rim. Three plates have crescent marks and four plates have script W marks, all in underglaze blue. There is some stacking wear and minor wear to the rim edges. One plate has a star crack on the base. Two have chips on the footrim.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
