DescriptionThis albumen carte de visite is a half-length portrait of Reuben Eaton Fenton (1819-1885), U. S. Senator, Governor of New York; involved in Erie Railroad Scandal. This CDV is from C. D. Fredericks & Co., New York, Havana, and Paris. The mount is rectangular; the face of the card is bordered by a single red line. Fenton is turned slightly to his proper right. He has "salt-and-pepper" hair and beard.
