DescriptionBronze fern planter in the "Marsh Marigold". The exterior of the bowl has a gilded design in high relief of vines, large heart-shaped leaves and marigold blossoms. Inside the dish is a removable copper liner with two handles. Gilding has darkened with some bronze disease spreading from the liner to the main container. Identical to piece in Koch, G-B-L, p. 108, fig 156, bottom row first on right.
