DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This photograph shows a scene in the woods with soldiers standing and sitting around. There are horses and women present in this shot. There are no leaves on the trees. There is a small cliff to the right upon which there are quite a few people seated. One man is also posted up in a tree near the cliff. This is Plate 10 from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 50).
