DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This black and white photograph shows a field with over fifteen tents in the view. There is one tent in the foreground with five men standing outside of it. Many of the tents have wreaths and stars hung on the outside. In the distance are rows of trees. This photograph is titled "General Hospital, near Gettysburg, Pa." below it reads "This hospital was established by the Government soon after the battle, and furnished accommodations for about three thousand wounded soldiers."
