DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This photograph near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is that of the Headquarters of the U.S. Sanitary Commission. The photograph appears in the woods with a group of twelve men and women seated outside the tent labeled "U.S. Sanitary Commission." Some of the men and women are seated around and on a table in front of the tent while the others are standing nearby.
