DescriptionThis is a 'Ruins' and "The Two Bridges' Pattern Baluster-Form Coffee Pot (A) and Cover (B). Printed in sepia, enameled in green, yellow, iron-red, blue and rose and heightened in gilding on one side with two figures amidst classical ruins, on the reverse with a scne from a 1752 print by Vivares after Antoine Patel depicting two figures crossing a bridge with another beyond in a river landscape, on the spout with a rococo scroll device, and on the cover with two landscape vignettes flanking flanking the iron-red, yellow and green floral sprig knop, the S-scroll handles decorated with gilt foliate and dot motifs.
