DescriptionThis is a Worcester spherical teapot (A) and cover (B) colorfully painted with a Chinese man bringing baskets to another man, lady, and boy on one side and a man seated at a window watching a lady standing at the side of a house on the opposite side, and the cover has garden vignettes, all within iron-red scroll-edged panels separated by smaller panels of iron-red and black flowers and gilt scrollwork. The cover has an iron-red and green floral sprig knop. There are tiny chips on the spout, pot rim, and knop. The cover has a chip under the rim.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
