DescriptionThis is a 'Ruins' Pattern Tea Canister (A) and Cover (B). The tapering cylindrical body with a rounded shoulder and printed in black on either side with two soldiers bearing pikes or a shepherdess and a traveler near a Borghese vase, all amidst classical ruins, the low domed cover with three landscape vignettes encircling the mushroom knop, and each piece with a black enamel line around the rim.
