DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Old Worcester Parrot" pattern fluted coffee cup (A) and a pair of saucers (B, C) painted in a famille-rose palette heightened in gilding in the center wuth an iron-red parrot perched amidst a grape cluster and flowering branches, the well finely fluted, and the rim with a floral border with an iron-red line at the gilt edge. The cup is undecorated on the exterior and lacks the parrot design but has a gilt foliage device on the loop handle. The cup has wear to the gilt edge. The saucers have some speckling and one has a beveled footrim.
