DescriptionThis is a Worcester "French shape" fluted coffee cup (A) and saucer (B) decorated in a variation of the "Dalhousie" pattern. Each piece is painted with a landscape roundel encircled by a gilt band and a turquoise and black garrya husk border and surrounded by clusters of yellow-centered rose, purple, and iron-red flowers and green leaves alternating with floral sprigs or insects. The rim has a gros bleu border decorated with a gilt chain motif between gilt C-scrolls and a gilt dentil band around the scalloped edge. There are crescent marks in underglaze blue. The cup footrim is beveled. The saucer has some central scratching,
