The glass is mounted onto a heavy brass base with three feet and a scrollwork design. The middle section is of brass, fits into the body and consists of the kerosene fixtures. The shade is of blown opaque white glass with an acid finish. Painted on the shade are: a large sitting and a large standing camel with one rider lying on the sand and smoking a pipe and the other rider sitting and reading on an oriental rug; The Sphinx; a gold rising sun; a small oasis with a pond and two palm trees; an Arab cooking over a fire and two camels and three more Arabs.
