DescriptionThis is a rare Worcester toy coffee cup (A) and saucer (B). Each piece is painted with a gilt floral sprig either between two foliate sprigs on the cup or within an underglaze blue circle entwined with a gilt foliate vine in the center of the saucer. The gilt-edged rim has an underglaze blue border decorated with a gilt chain motif and edged with gilt scalloped lines. There are crescent marks in underglaze blue.
