DescriptionThis is a Worcester 'Lady at the Loom' Pattern Pear-Shaped Milk Jug. This has a pear-shaped body with a loop handle, and painted probably after a Chinese export porcelain original on one side with an elaborately coiffed Chinese maiden wearing a rose and green costume, seated on a grey marbleized bench and working at a loom, the reverse with an umbrella-shaped plant growing from blue enamel stylized rockwork, and the rim with an iron-red and gilt scallop-and-dot border around the interior edge.
