DescriptionThis is a Worcester "French shape" fluted pear-shaped milk jug (A) and cover (B) decorated in the London workshop of James Giles in gilding. Each piece has floral garlands pendent from four bowknotted ribbons. The rim of each piece is edged with a gilt dentil border. The ear-shaped handle has gilt lines and dots. The cover has a gilt-heightened floral sprig knop. The cover has wear to the gilding and tiny chips on the knop.
