DescriptionThis is a Worcester Chinese Export-Style Saucer. It is painted possibly after a Dutch-decorated Chinese export porcelain original, the interior painted predominantly in iron-red, green, blue, and gold at the top with an elaborate cartouche patterned with crosshatching and bordered in scrolls, scale work and floral garlands, and at the bottom with a scale-patterned shell and double demiflowerhead device beneath garlands, the interstices with three floral sprigs and the rim with an iron-red and gilt spearhead border.
