DescriptionThis is an early Worcester 'Stag Hunt' Pattern Teabowl, Coffee Cup, and Saucer. Each piece press-molded with 'pleating' reserved with two large rococo cartouches painted in a famille-rose palette, one depicting a chinoiserie huntsman and his two hounds near a gazebo, the other depicting two chinoiserie figures conversing near a gazebo, and alternating with one or two smaller molded cartouches containing a floral sprig, the center of the saucer painted with three rocks, the interior rim of each with a rose scroll-and-tassel border, and the coffee cup with an elaborate S-scroll handle.
