DescriptionThis is a Worcester vine leaf dish that is press-molded as two overlapping leaves issuing from the gilt-heightened stem handle and painted in the center with a cluster of iron-red hops and green leaves within a rose herringbone roundel edged in gilt S-scrolls rising to connect to and to form cartouches with a gilt scrollwork border near the gilt-edged serrated rim. The scrolls are entwined and pendent with swags of hops. The handle end of the rim is repaired.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
