DescriptionThis is a 'K'ang Hsi Lotus' Pattern Lozenge-Shaped Dish. Painted in the center with a peony sprig within a scalloped lozenge-shaped panel reserved on a blue ground patterned with blossoms, leaves and dots, the scalloped and barbed rim painted with twelve flowering plants within panels formed by petal-shaped panels above and below decorated alternately with cracked-ice and prunus, with stiff leaves or with demi-blossoms, the rim exterior with four trailing prunus or peony branches. Pseudo-Chinese symbol mark within a hexafoil panel in underglaze-blue.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
