DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Rich Queen's" pattern faceted teabowl (A) and saucer (B). They are painted in iron-red, green, blue, and gilding with panels of prunus branches or chrysanthemums alternating with underglaze blue panels reserved with a gilt-centered iron-red and white mons surrounded by gilt blossoms and foliage. There is a gilt-centered iron-red and white mons in the center. The barbed rims are edged in gilding. There is a pseudo-Chinese seal mark in underglaze blue.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
