DescriptionThis is a Worcester fluted deep plate. It was probably painted at a later date outside the factory. The center has a rose, blue, iron-red, and yellow butterfly and a blue and green floral sprig within a gilt dentil-edged scalloped roundel surrounded on the cavetto. The scalloped rim has a "Blind Earl"-style spray of two stems of green and yellow rose leaves and two rose and green buds issuing from a brown stem and surrounded by small floral sprigs within a border of gilt C-scrolls at the gilt dentil-edge. There is an anchor and a disguised numeral 5 mark in brown. The plate has stacking wear and wear to the gilt edge.
