DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Wet Blue"-ground fluted plate painted in shades of rose, purple, iron-red, blue, yellow, and green. In the center is an exotic bird perched in a small tree above another bird strutting amidst flowering plants on a grassy plateau within a roundel bordered with gilt trelliswork edged in C-scrolls and pendant devices around the cavetto. The scalloped rim has a bold gilt dentil band around the edge. There is a crescent mark in underglaze blue. There is some stacking wear and wear to the gilt edge.
