DescriptionThis is a rare Worcester reticulated and fluted plate painted in a turquoise shade of "French green." The center has a stylized peony blossom and gilt foliage within a dentil roundel surrounded by four small dentil roundels. The gilt-edged scalloped rim has a dentil-edged border pierced alternately with diamond, dot, and heart or crescent motifs. The rim edge has a hair crack and slight wear to the gilding.
