DescriptionThis is a Worcester small "Dolphin Ewer" sauceboat. It is press-molded on either side with scallop shell fluting and under the spout with a leaf tip, two addorsed dolphins, and a scallop shell above small shells and leafage around the gilt dentil-edged oval foot. The interior rim has a gilt dentil edge. The back is molded with a foliate device and is affixed with a gilt-heightened lamprey handle. The spout and rim have chips, the rim and footrim have overfired patches, there are minor firing cracks, and there is some wear to the gilding.
