DescriptionThis is a Worcester scalloped plate painted in the London workshop of James Giles in shades of iron-red, purple, yellow, green, and blue in the center with two birds flying near two larger birds perched on a fruiting branch. The cavetto has a gilt dentil band. The basket-molded rim is edged in gilding. There is slight wear on the cavetto.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
