DescriptionThis is a Worcester reticulated oval basket painted in the London workshop of James Giles in shades of green. The center has a floral spray and seven floral or foliate sprigs. The molded and pierced latticework sides are painted on the interior intersections with green-heightened florets. The gilt-edged scalloped rim is affixed at either end with green-heightened twig handles terminating in floral clusters and green leaves. The rim has a restored hair crack. The handles have been reattached and the terminals have been shipped.
