DescriptionThis is a pair of Worcester reticulated oval baskets. Each piece is painted in shades of rose, purple, yellow, iron-red, and green with a lush floral cluster in the center surrounded by floral sprigs. The sides are formed by interlocking circlets applied on the intersections of the exterior with rose florets. The gilt-edged rim is affixed at the ends with green rope-twist handles terminating in iron-red-centered yellow blossoms and green leaves. There are chips to the terminals and some wear to the handles. Each basket has a small hair crack on the rim.
