DescriptionThis is a pair of Worcester "Sea-Green"-ground reticulated oval baskets. Each basket is painted in shades of purple, rose, iron-red, yellow, and green with a floral cluster within a purple foliate garland suspended from the gilt rococo scrollwork edging the sea-green ground interior. The sides of the exterior are formed of pierced circlets with white florets applied at the intersections. The gilt-edged scalloped rim is affixed at each end with a rope-twist handle with floral-cluster terminals. There are some chips to the terminals.
