DescriptionThis is a Worcester fluted sugar bowl painted in the center with a cluster of iron-red hops and green leaves within a rose herringbone roundel edged in gilt S-scrolls rising to connect to and to form cartouches with a gilt scrollwork border near the gilt-edged serrated rim. The scrolls are entwined and pendent with swags of hops. The cover is missing and the gilding is worn on the scalloped rim edge.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
