DescriptionThis is a Worcester fluted teacup (A) and saucer (B). Each piece is painted with rose-edged vertical panels of purple floral pendants alternating with swags of iron-red hops and green leaves pendent from a gilt herringbone-patterned rose border reserved with purple foliate panels. The center of each has a cluster of yellow-centered purple flowers and iron-red hops within a gilt roundel. The base of the teacup and the center of the saucer have a gilt-scroll-edged turquoise-ground border of "pearls." Each piece has a gilt dentil-edged rim. The cup rim has a hair crack extending into the top of the handle.
