DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Old Japan Fan" pattern sugar bowl (A) and (B) cover painted in the center in an Imari palette with a large gilt mons within an underglaze blue roundel reserved with a white flowering vine and surrounded by gilt-patterned fan devices alternating with circles. The cover has a green and iron-red floral sprig knop. There are pseudo-Chinese characters in underglaze blue. The bowl has a serious forking crack and associated losses.
