DescriptionThis is an American hand-carved frame made of wormy chestnut wood with a border of large flutes, angled to form centers, with a notch-carved sight edge and a polychrome (gray wash) finish. The sight edge is 24 3/4 x 20 3/4 inches. The width of the molding is 3 3/4 inches, and the depth is 2 1/4 inches. It has no marks or inscriptions, and it has been resized to fit the Beauford Delaney painting.
