DescriptionThis is a Worcester blue-scale fluted plate. It is reserved with a central roundel with a floral sprig within a thin iron-red scalloped line surrounded by three "mirror"-shaped cartouches alternating with three "vase"-shaped cartouches alternating with three "vase"-shaped cartouches beneath pairs of triangular panels, all painted in a Kakiemon-type palette of iron-red, yellow, green, and turquoise with oriental flowering plants or floral sprigs. There are pseudo-Chinese seal marks in underglaze blue. The center is scratched and worn and the rim has a restored chip.
