DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Queen's" pattern spherical teapot (A) and cover (B). Each piece is decorated in gilding with two rows of spiraling peony petals between gilt dentil bands above the foot, around the neck, and on the rim and dome of the cover. The gilt bands are interrupted on the cover by the gilt-heightened floral sprig knop. The spout and handle are decorated with gilt foliate cruciform and dot devices. There are tiny chips on the knop and spout edge.
